RWP Through the Years
Since inception, RWP has organized and implemented countless events and programs throughout our community to educate, inspire, empower and create a positive impact on the world around us, sometimes creating important coalitions by partnering with other organizations. Below are some of RWP's impactful events and initiatives.

Partnered with Hands Across the Sand to support efforts to end offshore drilling and environmental action.

Campaign with Sane Energy to stop the building of the Williams Pipeline through petitions, postcard writing and testifying at public meetings.

Held locally a live show of the Off-Broadway play "We the People". Some of the support form this event helped support Democratic Candidates in the 2018 midterm elections.

Chose four Democratic candidates in the 2018 Midterm Elections to support, running postcard campaigns, fundraising, phone banking and canvassing. Three of the Four won their seats.

Held a Vigil following the violence in Charlottesville bringing together community leaders and residents to reflect and the loss of life in solidarity.

RWP was chosen as a Member of the Queens Complete Count Committee holding events and initiatives throughout Rockaway to increase the participation in the 2020 Census.
