Queens Community Board 14
There are currently 59 community boards throughout the city, comprised of approximately 50 unpaid members. Half of the Board members are nominated by Borough President and the other half by the City Council member representing that community district. Community Boards advise on land use and zoning, participate in the city budget process, and address service delivery in their district. The City Charter also allows boards to submit their own plans for the development, growth, and improvement of their communities.
